Why See an Aesthetician?
What can I expect from a skin care treatment?
Whether you are a first time or more sophisticated skin care client, every service is completely personalized and customized to fit your skin, lifestyle, and needs.
What is your approach to skin care?
Our approach is holistic. At the first session, you’ll fill out a consultation card detailing things such as medical history, allergies and diet. After the consultation, we develop a custom program for you on the spot, and we do a personalized treatment that is corrective, relaxing, pampering, and soothing all at once.
Will I need to buy all new skin care products?
That depends. We request all of our clients to bring in their products for evaluation to ensure that they are performing as desired. Clients expect us to assist them in developing a skin care system that works.
What makes a skin care session with you unique?
Results. You’ll see a clinical difference immediately. Your skin will be clearer, smoother, softer, more radiant, and cleaner. The texture will change. It will look different, feel different.
I have sun damage, adult acne, hypersensitive, or Rosacea. Can you treat those problems?
Yes. We have a wide variety of skin care products that are specifically for those types of concerns and issues. We work with you to get you the best results.
Do you see men as well as women?
Yes. We see everyone from children to retirees. One of our oldest clients has been seeing us for treatments for many years. It allows him to take 15 years off his age – and get away with it.
What conditions are improved using clinical skin care?
At Skin Deep we treat – and heal – many skin care issues, including:
Rosacea – a chronic, little understood skin condition that causes facial redness and sores that can look like pimples.
Acne – there are many causes of acne, from hormonal to dietary. It manifests in the form of pimples that can have white heads, black heads, and/or red, swollen patches formed from underlying cysts.
Hyperpigmentation – this is determined by areas of the skin or nails that become darker in color than the surrounding skin. It is usually the result of excess melanin production, although it can also occur as the result of excess sun exposure, skin damage, or medical conditions.
What is the clinical skin care treatment process?
We begin by meeting with clients during an in-depth consultation, where we can evaluate health and skin health history, diet and lifestyle choices, and information about their current skin care regimen. This helps us to get a more holistic perspective on how and why certain skin care issues may be manifesting. We tailor our clinical skin care treatments to the unique needs of each client, and we can also enlist the help of outside expert medical professionals from other arenas, such as nutritionists, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, etc. to provide a multi-tiered approach to healing.
